a bee buzzing ‘round Yeti’s fur
he pulls papers from his pockets,
points
Look. See. Just like you.
someone wrote a sad story
that keeps me up at night
in the witching hours
Yeti’s silent, so Nathan
sighs in Yeti, Yeti’s not
interested in the story anymore
and Yeti turns from the freezer
to explain, but Nathan is gone
and he’s alone again
a poem with a sandy footprint
about Yeti’s wife
stuck to the floor
